South Korea’s Inspection of Risk Management Plans Implementation under CCA

    Takehome:

    • The National Institute of Chemical Safety will conduct inspections assessing the implementation of risk management plans and will share results with regional communities and fire stations. Results and findings will be utilized to optimize response in the event of a chemical accident.
    • 70 industrial sites are facing inspection this year, 8 of which have already been inspected.
    • As planned, more than 1,000 industrial sites will be inspected by 2021.
