Malaysia was among the first group of Asian countries to advocate implementation of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). However, it was not until April 17th 2015 that GHS was made a compulsory requirement in the industry workplace sector as a result of the full enforcement of the CLASS Regulation by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH). In this webinar, senior GHS expert Dr. Goh Choo Ta will shed light on Malaysia’s current chemical regulatory framework, industries’ necessary actions to meet the updated requirements, the compliance deadlines, as well as the outlook for GHS adoption in other sectors.
- Part I. Overview of Chemicals Management in Malaysia
- Part II. GHS implementation in Malaysia
- CLASS Regulation 2013 & CLASS ICOP 2014
- GHS implementation in other sectors
- EHSNR Scheme
- ASEAN-Japan Chemical Safety Database
In order to help clarify relevant issues, we encourage webinar attendees to raise questions ahead of the webinar. All questions put forward will be addressed during the webinar or dealt with individually after the webinar.
