Background

The Hazardous Chemical Substance Act (B.E. 2535) is one of the two overarching legislations promulgated by Thailand DIW. Since its implementation from 1992, a spectrum of obligations were prescribed for chemicals throughout their supply chain, including notification, registration, Thailand GHS duties, prior inform declaration, etc. 

In this webinar, Mr.Napatr Kunachitpimol from AIDA will provide us an overall picture of chemical management in Thailand and detailed explanation of compliance tasks of the industry.

    Napatr Kunachitpimol holds the MSc. on Environmental and Hazardous Waste Management, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. He has more than 8 year experiences on chemical safety and chemical management in Thailand. In 2004, he joined the UNITAR-FDA project to update Chemical Management System in Thailand. Then, he had a chance to research an EU REACH regulation and other ASEAN counties. According to hazardous substance management in Thailand, Napatr was a team member of hazardous substance management for Department of Industrial Works (DIW) and Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) since 2011. And in 2013, he worked for the Hazardous Substances Control Act B.E. 2535 amendment project. At present, he is a manager at AIDA Co Ltd – to advise clients to comply with Thai and International chemical regulations.
