AICS Inventory Update Detailed in Chemical Gazette

On July 2, details of the latest update to Australia’s Inventory of Chemical Substances (AICS) were published in the Chemical Gazette. The Gazette details the latest chemicals added to the AICS, changes made to the AICS, new chemical reports and permits.

According to the Chemical Gazette, details of one chemical in the AICS (Australian Inventory of Chemical Substances) and the chemical listing are now consistent with the CAS name and number. In accordance with section 14(1) of the Industrial Chemicals (Notification and Assessment) Act 1989, 14 chemicals have been added to AICS and 2 chemicals have been added to the non-confidential section of the AICS in accordance with section 13B of the Industrial Chemicals (Notification and Assessment) Act 1989.

In addition, new chemicals full public reports, low volume chemical permits, early introduction permits and commercial evaluation permits have also been included in the Chemical Gazette, and the full document of Australian Chemical Gazette can be accessed here.
