The results of LR election for 121 PECs were published on 6 Jan 2015 for public reference (CL news). Announced on 12 Jan, some amendments were made to the previous version.
The main amendments are specified as below:
(1) The elected LR (Company name: (주)카프로Capro Corporation) for one substance (Ammonium nitrite, CAS No. 13446-48-5) chose to opt out. There are now only 120 PECs available with LR;
(2) A substance (CAS No. 79-01-6) was previously announced with wrong chemical name. This time, the authority corrected the information from “2-Propenamide; Acrylamide” to “Ethylene trichloride ; Trichloroethylene; Trichloroethene”.
These PECs manufactured or imported in quantities greater than 1 ton per year should be registered under K-REACH and have three years to prepare their registration dossiers due by 30 Jun 2018.
