China REACH SRR Adopts Electronic Submission From May

China REACH Scientific Research Record is entering the electronic information era for submission from 1 May 2012

The Scientific Research Record (SRR) under China New Chemical Substance Notification is going to adopt the exclusive format of electronic submission since 1 May 2012. The new SRR submission software (download) is now available on the website of Chemicals Registration Center of China’s Ministry of Environmental Protection (CRC-MEP).

In order to secure the interim work of SRR submission, notifiers are allowed to submit via either mail or software till 1 May 2012. But both approaches need submission of the original application form stamped with company seal and/or legal representative signature. Software application demands printed documents downloaded from the software.

From 1 May 2012 onwards, the CRC-MEP will only accept the format of software submission and printed documents downloaded from the software.

The release of SRR submission software has marked a new information era for the management of China new substance notification, following the mandatory electronic submission for Simplified Notification from January 2012 and IECSC Search (Enquiry) since January 2010.

SRR notifiers can contact the CRC-MEP for any question regarding the use of the new software.
