The First Chinese Lab Passed OECD GLP Accreditation

A Shenyang lab has become China’s first domestic scientific institute qualified to provide reliable GLP data in relevant testing fields

News from Agropages on 1 March reports that, the Safety Evaluation Center of Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry (“SYRICI” in short) has successfully passed through the GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) accreditation of the Netherlands, a member of the UN OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development).

Following the Dutch approval, the evaluation data issued by SYRICI is supposed to get multilateral accreditation from all OECD members in terms of toxicity test, clinical chemical test and physical-chemical test. This is good news for both domestic and abroad pesticide registrants and new substance notifiers, since this lab will provide “a full set of test data required of the chemical registration materials of China” and the “pesticide registration management materials”.
