Korea Updates Toxic Chemical Substance and GHS Classification Lists

1. Eight substances have been newly added to the South Korea’s Toxic Chemical Substance List (TCSL) and GHS Classification List.
2. Classification and labeling elements of one toxic chemical substance (published in 2000) has been updated.
3. One substance has been added to the South Korea’s Observational Chemical Substances List (OCSL).

On 6 Oct 2014, South Korea’s National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER) announced by NIER Notice No.2014-29 that the South Korea’s Toxic Chemical Substance List (TCSL) and Observational Chemical Substances List (OCSL) were updated. In addition, on the same date, one substance was added into Korea’s GHS Classification List by NIER Notice No.2014-30.
