Opening of MEE Government Affair Service Center to Accelerate Administrative Approval

A new government affairs service center platform, contained within the MEE website (www.mee.gov.cn) is currently under development, according to a presentation offered by Ms. Ling Lu (an official from the Division of Solid Waste and Chemicals Management under MEE) during the 10th Chemical Regulatory Affairs Conference hosted by REACH24H.

The new platform will function as a comprehensive service center including new chemical management (Simplified registration, standard registration, etc.), import/export of hazardous chemicals, progress query, online approval, etc. After the platform launches the current MEPSCC window for importing/exporting hazards and other notification will be closed. It will likely increase the efficiency of government service and make it more convenient for stakeholders to conduct online and paperless application/registration/inquiry.

The MEE is placing a high priority on the completion and release of the new platform. However the data transfer for new chemical registration is a huge project and will take some time.
