South Korea Consults on Restricted Conditions of Chromium(6+) Compounds

Published on 5 Apr 2017 by MoE Notice No.2017-271, South Korea’s Ministry of Environment (MoE) is now consulting on the newly supplemented restricted conditions of one type of restricted substances. As proposed, the manufacture, importation, sales, keeping, storage, transportation and use of paints containing Chromium(6+) compounds (restricted substance given No: 06-5-10) for building purpose will be prohibited.

In addition, the classification information, pictograms, signal words, hazard statements and M factors of this type of restricted substance (No.06-5-6) have been updated on 31 Jan 2017 by NIER Announcement No.2017-1 (CL news).
