The GHS classification information has been approved by NIER Announcement No.2018-62 on 20 Dec 2018.
- Eight new substances will be designated as toxic chemical substances after hazard evaluation under K-REACH.
- Mandatory classification and labelling elements of the eight toxic substances are proposed for public comments.
- Additional transitional measures for control of these toxic substances will be provided.
South Korea’s NIER is now consulting on adding eight toxic chemical substances (Given No. 2018-1-870 ~ 2018-1-877) into the Toxic Chemical Substances List (TCSL). They have been registered and found toxic after the hazard evaluation under K-REACH. In addition, the classification information, pictograms, hazard statements, M factors or UN No., etc. of these substances are provided for public consultation. Any comments are welcome before 10 Dec 2018.
