South Korea MOE Specified 15 Permitted Biocidal Products

Recently South Korea Ministry of Environment (MOE) specified 15 biocidal products that are allowed to use biocidal substances, which are:

1.   Bactericides;

2.   Algaecides;

3.   Rodenticides;

4.   Products for killing hazardous vertebrates other than rodents;

5.   Insecticides;

6.   Products for killing hazardous invertebrates other than insects;

7.   Repellents for hazardous animals;

8.   Preservatives;

9.   Preservatives for surface treatment;

10.   Preservatives for fibers and leathers;

11.   Preservatives for wood products;

12.   Preservatives for architectural materials;

13.   Preservatives for materials and equipment;

14.   Preservatives for corpses and specimens;

15.   Repellents to aquatic plants and animals in order to keep them from ships and buildings.

This detailed information is a supplement to the legislation forecast of the implementation decrees for K-BPR. K-BPR will come into force on Jan 1st, 2019. More and more supporting documents and information will be released in the 2nd half year of 2018.
