The draft amendment of Taiwan’s Toxic Chemical Substances Labeling and Materials Safety Data Sheet Regulations, renamed as “Toxic Chemical Substances Labeling and Safety Data Sheet Regulations” was issued by Taiwan’s EPA on 2 May 2014. The draft will be subject to a period of public consultation lasting 14 days.
Compared with the current version, there are not many revisions. However containers and packaging of toxic chemical substances will be required to comply with the classification and labeling requirements in accordance with Taiwan National Standards CNS 15030 instead of the previous Table 1 . The amendment, if finally approved, will come into force on 11 Dec 2014, the implementation date of the revised Taiwan TCSCA.
