On 7 Mar 2017, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration of Taiwan (OSHA) made public the recommended GHS classifications for about 3,000 hazardous substances. The list is accessible here.
Two main sources were referenced during development of these classifications, including
Source A: the classification and labelling Inventory (C&L Inventory) maintained by ECHA; and
Source B: recommended classifications based on other relevant international databases
Taiwan introduced the GHS system in three phases. Taiwan GHS has been fully implemented since 1 Jan 2016 by the MOL. The authority will continue to provide recommended GHS classifications for hazardous substances. Another 6,000 hazardous substances have been classified and their recommended GHS classifications (accessible here) were issued on 5 Jan 2016.
The OSHA’s GHS database (http://ghs.osha.gov.tw/CHT/intro/search.aspx) provides sample Safety Data Sheets of approximately 4,600 substances. The 9,000 hazardous substances mentioned above (issued in 2016 and 2017 respectively) are excluded from the database and recommended GHS classifications are only available to the public online in PDF format.
