Turkey REACH Delayed Again

Turkey has been preparing its own REACH-like regulation since 2014, however, the regulation is still in the drafting stage and progress has been slow. The draft regulation was carried out by Turkey’s Ministry of Environment and Urbanization (MoEU) and named KKDIK, which is an acronym for Chemicals Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction in Turkish. Overall the draft regulatory framework is very similar to EU REACH.
