Vietnam Supplements National Chemical Inventory

On Sep 14th, 2018, Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) issued a notice on its website, adding around 26 thousand chemical substances into the Vietnam national chemical inventory.

The 1st version of the national chemical inventory was published in 2016. After the issuance, the inventory was revised once in early 2017 and the total number of included substances was around 5 thousand. After the supplementation this time, the inventory was hugely expanded and the total number of included substances reaches 31,745. This scale is already close to the existing chemicals inventory in China. However, the supplementation hasn’t stopped, yet. Enterprises are still allowed to nominate their chemicals if they are not included in the latest version. MOIT developed a software by which the enterprises can check the list and add their chemicals into the list. The software can be downloaded here. The Department of Chemicals only accepts information in the format exported by this software.
