HJ/T 154-2004 was issued by the SEPA Announcement 66 of 2004. As a nationally recommended standard, HJ/T 154 was formulated to further standardize chemical hazard assessment, safeguard human health and protect ecological environment. It aims to provide technical support for the implementation of the 2003 Measures for the Environmental Management of New Chemical Substances.
This standard specifies criteria with regards to data requirements, the determination and classification methods for toxicological assessment, human exposure assessment predictions, eco-toxicological assessment and environmental exposure assessment predictions, as well as the conclusion of the hazard assessment.
