China’s MEP has published the 5th and the 6th batch of new chemical substances notified through Regular Notification for public consultation until Jan 5 and Jan 6 respectively. If no dissenting opinions are raised, two batches of 14 new chemical substances in total will be approved soon.
The 5th batch lists 10 new chemical substances to be approved, of which one is notified through joint notification. If approved, the registration certificates will be issued to 11 legal entities. Among the listed substances, 5 are notified as hazardous new chemical substance of priority environmental concern, 4 as hazardous new chemical substance and 1 as general new chemical substance.
As for the 6th batch of 4 new chemical substances, half are classified into the scope of hazardous new chemical substance of priority environmental concern and half are notified as hazardous new chemical substance. One hazardous new chemical substance is submitted through joint notification.
