Nitrous Oxide Listed as Concerned Chemical in Taiwan

In effect from October 30, 2020, nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, has been listed by Taiwan EPA as the first concerned chemical substance under the Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substances Control Act (TCCSCA). Its production, import, sale, use and storage are subject to tightened regulations to tackle the growing misuse issues.

Taiwan Publishes Revised Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substances Hazard Prevention and Response Plan Regulations

On October 21, 2020, the revision to Taiwan’s Toxic Chemical Substances Hazard Prevention and Response Plan Regulations was approved with the changes scheduled to take effect on November 1, 2020. Taiwan EPA aligned the Regulations with the new Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substances Control Act(TCCSCA) and renamed it as the Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substances Hazard Prevention and Response Plan Regulations.
