Thailand Consults on Updated Hazardous Chemicals List

On 11 Mar, Thailand’s Department of Industrial Works (DIW) issued a notice (B.E.2562), consulting on a proposal to make some changes to the List of Hazardous Substances under the Hazardous Substances Control Act (HSCA). The proposed changes are as follows, which relates to Annex 4.1, 4.2 and 5.1.

China Consults on Technical Specification for Application and Issuance of Pollutant Discharge Permit for the Waste Resources Processing Industry

On March 4, 2019, the Chinese Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) issued a notice [1] soliciting comments on the draft of its new standard, Technical Specification for Application and Issuance of Pollutant Discharge Permit for the Waste Resources Processing Industry. The standard will, along with other standards in the same series, help to strengthen the implementation of the pollutant discharge permit system and ensure the technical attainability of environmental management goals.
