Colombia Starts Registration of Hazardous Chemical Substances

On May 31, 2022, Colombia’s Ministry of Commerce (MINCIT) issued the Circular 18 announcing the launch of the online registration system for industrial chemical substances identified as hazardous according to GHS. The deadline for companies to registerer their chemicals is May 30, 2025. The first National Inventory of Industrial Chemical Substances will be created based on the chemicals registered over the three years.

South Korea Consults on Hazard Assessment Results of Chemical Substances Registered under K-REACH

On May 31, 2022, South Korea’s National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER) issued the NIER Announcement No.2022-240, seeking public comments on the updates of hazard assessment results of new and existing chemical substances that were previously registered and assessed under K-REACH. Comments are welcome before June 20, 2022.
