China’s Newly Revised Safe Production Law to Take Effect in September

On May 24, 2021, the Philippine Environmental Management Bureau under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR-EMB) published a memorandum circular titled 2021 Updated Philippine Inventory of Chemicals and Chemical Substances (PICCS), expanding the present number of chemicals listed in the PICCS to 22, 277 with the addition of 52 new chemicals.

Taiwan Consults on Extending PECs Registration Deadline to the End of 2023

A draft amendment to Taiwan’s New and Existing Chemical Registration Regulation was recently issued for a 60-day public consultation. The draft amendment will grant an extended deadline for the registration of 106 priority existing chemicals (PECs). In addition, some significant changes to exemptions, data submission, registration validity, confidentiality validity, review period, etc. are proposed.
