The original CRC-MEP website, which served as the online platform for the environmental management of China new chemical substances will close from the 1st of Jul 2014 and will be replaced by the new website (www.mepscc.cn). After that, all issues and documents concerning China new chemical substance notification (China NCSN, a.k.a China REACH) will be published on the new website.
The website change comes after the merger of the CRC and the National Center of Solid Waste Management into the Solid Waste and Chemicals Management Center (SCC-MEP) in June 2013. The new center is a vice bureau level institute under China MEP, with higher administrative level than the original CRC. SCC-MEP will have more responsibility for promotion of policies regarding sound management of new chemical substances.
