On 23 Jun 2014, MEP cancelled 63 registration certificates obtained through simplified notification under China new chemical substance notification (China NCSN, a.k.a China REACH). The cancellation application applies in the following two cases:
Reason for cancellation | Number | |
Case 1 | No history of manufacturing or importation | 6 |
Case 2 | Manufacturing or import activities to be ceased | 57 |
Registration certificate holders which fit the criteria listed above can submit a cancellation application to the CRC, specifying the reason and if accepted can subsequently return the registration certificate. Registration certificates will be invalid as of the date of cancellation. The re-notification of the cancelled new chemical substance by the original notifier is not permitted within a period of five years.
Details have already been released for public reference, which are accessible on MEP’s website and include the certificate holder’s name, the certificate number and the reason.
