South Korea Updated Substance Inventories

South Korea’s National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER) has announced that two substances have been added to the South Korea’s Toxic Chemical Substance List (TCSL) and GHS Classification list on 21 Mar 2014. In addition, the South Korean government has also updated the country’s Observational Chemical Substances List (OCSL). Two substances have been added to the OCSL.

The updated TCSL and OCSL will enter into force one month after the notice’s publication (NIER Notice No.2014-8), after this date appropriate compliance actions should be taken under TCCA. For the GHS Classification list, changes will be effective immediately after issuance of the NIER Notice No.2014-9.

The TSCL, OCSL and GHS Classification List were last updated in Mar (ChemLinked 19 Mar 2014).
