South Korea’s National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER) issued NIER Announcement No. 2017-37 on 8 Sep 2017, making public the updates of hazard evaluation results for new chemical substances registered under K-REACH. The updates took effect immediately.
The updates are summarized as below:
343 new substances (given number as 2017-451~2017-793) registered under K-REACH were recently issued with corresponding hazard evaluation results.
The chemical names of 9 new substances (given number as 2016-9, 2016-627, 2016-664, 2016-715, 2016-732, 2016-741, 2016-216, 2016-247, 2017-379) previously assessed were updated
The hazard evaluation results of 19 new substances (given number as 2016-19, 2016-28, 2016-60, 2016-174, 2016-279, 2016-311, 2016-323 2016-460, 2016-470, 2016-478, 2016-479, 2016-682, 2016-711, 2016-778, 2016-849, 2016-1093, 2017-311, 2017-359, 2017-408) previously assessed were updated.
Errors were corrected for 3 new substances (given number as 2015-10, 2017-426, 2017-427). “Substances which in contact with water emit flammable gases (2.12)” was changed to “Substances and mixtures which in contact with water emit flammable gases (2.12)”
