South Korea Provides Supports to SMEs for K-REACH Registration of 82 Substances
May 18, 2020
On May 8, 2020, South Korea’s Ministry of Environment (MoE) issued a list of 82 existing chemical substances[1]. The small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in South Korea who will finish K-REACH registration of these substances by 2021 are eligible for MoE’s support program. The MoE will offer supports throughout their K-REACH registration process.

China MEE Publishes Revised Measures for the Environmental Management of New Chemical Substances

On April 29, 2020, China’s MEE published the amendments of the Measures for the Environmental Management of New Chemical Substances (MEP Order 7 of 2010). It is renamed as the Measures for the Environmental Management Registration of New Chemical Substances (MEE Order 12 of 2020), which will come into force on January 1, 2021.

Japan Updates FCM Regulations, Positive List Effective on Jun. 1
May 06, 2020
On Apr. 28, 2020, MHLW issued the announcement No. 195[1] and No. 196[2] detailing the food contact materials regulation updates in Japan. Additionally, the No. 196 announcement states that the revision to the following regulations will come to force on Jun. 1st, 2020, which means that the positive list system will be effective at the same time
